How much did the label sell for?
65 thousand dollars -- This is an amazingly low number. I once, for a lark, talked to a business owner who was interested in selling his pawn shop. His asking price was $250,000. The recording assets of an entire record label went for just $65,000. This just boggles the mind: If I had $65,000, I'd have bought it. SOMETHING could come of it -- how could it not? Granted, there may be contract obligations of the expensive sort, but -- $65,000? The value must be well beyond that; finance $500,000, and things would be looking good.
From here on out, I'm looking for auctioned business assets. There's gotta be other deals out there, entire companies for mere pennies, that I could take for my own and make something better of.
