Trollwood fans: if you haven't noticed yet, you can see Trollwood's Wizard Of Oz stage from space, via Google Maps. The original Yellow Brick Road was laid by hand, brick by brick, in the late 1970s. As time wore away the yellow paint and the bricks broke down, a concrete path was poured in the late '80s, permanently embedding the Oz stage in the ground. Sadly, the Yellow Brick Road will be left behind, abandoned (sans Elton John lyrics) once TPAS leave the river-eroded park it currently occupies and crosses the river into South Moorhead.

The New York Times has an excellent article on satire today, drawing together the connections of satirists across time to today's Colbert Report and Daily Show. I recently discussed the nature of modern satire with someone who edits the humor and satire section of an online index, and it was a little muddled as to how satire exists today, apart from other forms of humor. This article explains it well.
