My birthday is tomorrow, but I have other plans then, so we're going out for drinks tonight.
OPEN INVITATION:
Imbibe with us wacky life-insurance-types on the patio at Paradiso, from around 5:00pm until whenever.
You know, Freakylinks was actually really good. I mean, sure, there were some writing problems, but there was enough originality to make it worthwhile, and the cast has good camraderie & charisma which kept the show moving. Tonight's finale was great -- the Dateline takeoff was executed well, and the last 10 seconds are hilarious.
Know what? I don't own any shorts! Not a single pair!

It's amazing how much my brother and I think alike. Just being around him for the past day and a half has shown me quite a bit. Several times during the day we either attempt to do something at exactly the same time, or we say the exact same thing. We joke back and forth, each comment building upon the last. Of course, I talk with him every day via email, but it's not the same as being there in person. We both enjoy and dislike the same things. We like Crown and Coke, we don't do drugs, and we hate coffee. Our only difference in that respect is that he smokes on occasion. I even noticed that we use the same tooth paste.
Silliness aside, I wasn't impressed with freakylinks the first time I saw it, but tonight's episode wasn't bad at all. I'm impressed that they found a bad guy who looked like a perfect cross between Timothy McVeigh and Eminem.
