 Destiny makes MIT history: Random Hall, the tech-head dorm at MIT, put up naming rights to one floor on eBay. I was prepared to go much, much higher, but $36 was my successful winning bid. After chatting with the soon-to-be-called-Destiny floor chairman, I decided to send them $100, because the money was just going into their floor fund for buying silverware, amenities, and other necessities of life. In return, Destiny got a classy certificate, suitably framed and mounted on the wall.
