Yup -- it will be all of my purchases, everything that I buy and can record. Really, I _should_ make it a completely separate website, so that there isn't a WalMart Site association, but this way I can put my banner ads there too :) and I intend on linking to it from the Receipt Site, for a little more flexibility in browsing my life. The URL will also be familiar, but it shouldn't be equated with the receipt site in any way. 'public conversations about my shopping' has already be done, so I don't want to fall into the trap of imitating myself. As for the suggestions you've mentioned, they're all right on with that I'm working for. Where the receipt site really doesn't have much from ME, it's just a bunch of pictures of my receipts with content created by visitors depending on their experience, Shopper2001's purpose will be 'mass of content' - content is created on-the-fly depending on what the site visitor wants to see. searching for info & compiling data is it's functions, but how it puts things together in an "entertaining" way is where I'm struggling. It may be a month or two before everything is together, but there won't be any real content until then anyways, so 1/1/01 isn't a deadline for site launch or anything... Shopping 2001 will be better suited as a time-waster; click on a day, get a receipt, click on an item, get all other similar items, click on a price, get all similarly priced items, do a search, limit the search by days, click on an item, find all the similar items purchased within your date-range, etc., etc....everything should be clickable, linking to a search page for more information. Graphs are a ways off, maybe. Trying to figure out the best and easiest way to create them. And, I really do appreciate input - in a former life, I was trained in the arts, so I know how to take critical input :) Even if you think it's grasping at straws, it may still be useful, creatively.
