Is the Shopper 2001 a record of all your purchases rather than just those from Walmart? I'm trying to figure out the difference. Obviously all of this has been a personal project that has turned into something much grander. The mystery of having no other information besides the receipts to start a conversation seems to be the primary reason this site has grown into what it has. I don't know that people are attracted the specific purchases as much as they like the surprise of a new receipt randomly showing up and turning it into what they want it to be. The scans of the actual receipts give visitors more to work with (i.e. Matt, the one line ads at the bottom, the abbreviations, etc) Would you be up for adding charts or stats? Maybe you could show the average number of shopping trips you make in a month year. Or a year-to-date count of each product could show up for each product that was purchased on a particular day. Does that make sense? I don't know if this is the kind of thing people like to see, but it would give you another avenue to pursue without repeating yourself. How about providing a way for visitors to guess the date of the next time you will purchase a particular items. When the correct date is guessed that person's name appears next to the item or something...I grasping for anything now. I dig the look though. Der, I'm not sure I get it. Will it be limited to some sort of catalogue of your purchases, or will it have some element of interactivity like the receipt site?? What is the overall concept?
