![]() Subject: RE: receipts and prime numbers |
if you were to consecutively number each receipt you had, many of them would have a number that was prime -- that is the number on the receipt could only be evenly divided by 1 and itself. this has great cosmic significance! think of it. if you had 11 receipts and needed to file them in equal groups, you wouldn't be able to. not a problem with a mere 11 receipts, but what if you had 2801 receipts -- or 2917 !?! WHAT THEN??? no this begs another question. we work in base 10, presumable because we have 10 fingers (counting the thumbs). 10 is devisable only by 1, itself, 2 and 5. if we were to number the receipts in base 12, would we have less of these problem prime numbers to worry about? after all, 12 is devisable by 1, 12, 2,3,4 and 6!!! or what about base 60, devisable by 1, 60, 2,3,4,5,6,10,12,15,20 and 30? maybe, if we work together solving this cosmic problem and restructure our number system, we can finally achieve would peace. and all because of walmart.
