Some interesting info in the Personal Injury Survivor site listed in the search engine:

25,426 people "struck by merchandise" in Walmart stores in the period 01/01/91 through 06/22/95.


Kevin Husted, Risk Manager for WalMart, has indicated (in one legal case) WM accident costs have been increasing each year since 1992. Accident costs in 1992 were $275 million dollars; 1993, it was $309 million dollars; in 1994, it was $410 million dollars. In another legal case, Mr. Husted indicated that no one in his department looks at accident reports. As far as he knew, they (the reports) had no purpose and his department did not utilize them.

So Walmart must be a hard-hat area!
