FINALLY, an educated comment! Still no mention of the fact that I could walk down to the HPR office & draw a picture in green lipstick on their windows (I'm LOCAL, dammit - this isn't some remote website run by strangers), but he had the balls to finally make clear that he has both READ the Receipt Site, AND managed to form an opinion of what he has read.

As for the emails, here's probably what precipitated it - I quoted both significant mentions in the old News section, pointing out how he had passed up on using any sort of journalistic techniques when writing his article. As I expected, this guy is very vested in his column and continued to give my website more and more free publicity if he keeps getting criticized - manhood indeed!. Thank you, Russell Quammen! Take your column seriously, but don't take your readers seriously. Out of all the HPR writers, you're now probably the one with the largest international audience.

Note - he also makes this mention:

" The best and the worst were both published on June 15th of last year. I've since brushed this off as a coincidence and am now just hoping the Walmart people don't start e-mailing me again. "

So, because Russell still has a chip on his shoulder, go ahead and email him, giving him more crap - he insists on thinking you guys aren't funny! What the hell is up with that??? Let's see how many more times he mentions the Receipt Site!
