Hmmm, just based on this info only, it seems as if maybe the kid had intentions of more that just playful rough-housing??? I wonder what his background & upbringing were like. I do, however, feel that most 12 year-olds DO understand the difference between right & wrong & most DO understand the concept of death. Especially in this day & age when kids understand a lot of mature concepts at younger & younger ages. It's very sad for both the little girl who was killed, & a boy who will spend the rest of his life in prison. Just think what one or both of those kids might have accomplished in life had this not occurred.
