Subject: RE: The end of the receipt site? |
|
Cool site! stumbled my way here and have to say it is well...unusual. I used to work for wally world and I can tell you what they are looking at. There is a number at the bottom of the receipt called a tc. This number keeps track of how much money has been refunded off of the receipt. Believe it or not people make fake receipts and they need this number to get them to work. They could pick them up in a parking lot but why do that when you can find all of these right here on the internet. The problem you will have if someone does this is you won't be able to use your receipts for refunds because they will look like they have already been used. Or they might be trying to keep someone on the inside from using these numbers. either way they just add the loss to the prices that we all have to pay. Well, Derek, to use a well-used English term, I'm gob-smacked! I think that all my chums above have expressed perfectly what we all feel about this, and I am intrigued to see what further correspondence you have from this bloke. Unbelievable! I'm sitting here shaking my head....
