I don't think the issue is about where the calls come from but what the call is about and the number of them. If Wal-Mart was getting the same number of calls regarding their normal business procedures then they'd just increase the number of lines and think their advertising was paying off, but since these calls are pranks then it is disrupting their business. It looks like Matt may have said something to Derek about it in the past and nothing was done about it so this may have been their only recourse. Maybe he said something he shouldn't have that pissed off Matt to the point of taking legal action and that's what he's referring to in his post. I agree that the number should have been marked out, but it looks like it may be too late. I also agree that he didn't intentionally advocate the calls, but the legal system is just now learning to deal with internet related cases so even though he may be charged with something or ordered to temporarily shut down the site, it doesn't mean he won't eventually prove his case and be back in business. Maybe he'll become as famous as that guy that invented Napster. I have no idea what his name is so that's probably a bad example. holy shit, they can't kill our kenny! those bastards! comment: if they're putting that particular number both in the phone book and on receipts, how can they descriminate as to where the caller's source originated? derek's not advocating people calling this number. seems all he needs to do is, in the future, black out matt's name and number. does walmart reall want all of us devotees to massively boycott their mom & pop-operation-killing store?
