Sorry, I won't satisfy your curiosity - some of the best things make me wince. Mostly, if it makes me wince, it's all the better :) For instance, MATT KREIG'S #1 FAN made me wince - before it became schtick, when he had only made one or two comments, his comments seemed hostile. I can't even cite examples, because he didn't post on receipts chronologically, but because at that time his posts were completely out of left field, it didn't fit with the site around it, and I was tempted to delete it. Thankfully, I gave him a day or so and then I caught on. Frankly, I almost gave in to the same sentiment that makes people angry at the whole receipt site - I couldn't see the whole picture, and I was unwilling to see the whole picture.

These days, the only thing I delete are the random hateful people who fill receipts with intelligent conversation like "FUCK YOU!!! YOU SAD ARSE!!!!" 5,000 times. So, I delete it, and they rarely ever come back, so I don't worry. See, there's so many comments now that those annoying people are pretty much lost in the noise; their attempt at making themselves sound important by damaging a free-for-all idea exchange isn't noticed. Did any of YOU notice the 1MB download of that capitalized-phrase above? I doubt it. Did the loser accomplish anything? Nope.
