"Clear Channel's new KDAM/104.7 (Hope-Fargo) is on the air stunting as "Quick 104.7," playing hooks from songs of all categories. "10 songs an hour? We play 10 songs in a minute! Quick 104.7 FM!" (10/31/02)"
There's just barely enough of each song played to maybe recognize it, taken from a wide variety of musical genres. The other Clear Channel stations are running ads for 104.7, billing "1000 songs and hour!" I suppose it's better than when one of the other ClearChannel stations was "All 'Louie Louie,' All The Time" earlier this summer.

Interesting -- Google spidered this site quickly, my site logs filling up with hits from other Fargoans searching for information on this publicity stunt. Suddenly I'm the #1 resource for information on KDAM 104.7 on the internet!

This sucks! What even sucks worse is we have to listen to crappy q98 if we want to hear rock.

This is total bullshit!! The Dam was the only radio station I even listened to, and now it gets taken off the air for this joke of a format. I heard this is until they settle on a final genre for the station...nothing like leaving the station's fans hanging. Clear Channel can suck my balls!!!

worse yet... it's going country!!? "New Rock is now the old format at KDAM/104.7 (Hope-Fargo). Radio and Records reports the Clear Channel station has flipped to Country. "The Dam" wrapped up its New Rock format on Monday with "Laid to Rest" by Lamb Of God, "Nice to Know You" by Incubus, "Rock Is Dead" by Marilyn Manson, and "Killing in the Name" by Rage Against the Machine. In between formats, KDAM was "Quick 104.7," playing short snippets of songs, a return to the original stunting used when 104.7 signed on in 2002. Clear Channel also has another Country station in the market, "Outlaw Country 92.7" (KFAB-FM Kindred-Fargo)."
