In an odd turn of supporting obsolete media, BTO has released the Plusdeck, a tape cassette player and recorder for your PC. It fits into a 5-1/2" bay on the computer -- just like a CDROM. Unlike a CDROM, it has no actual digitial audio components inside. With the cheapness of ADCs and CDROM components, they would be wise to make a version that hooks directly to the IDE cable.
