So, of course, I'm curious to see what people are finding. I don't have the time to dig through every search engine, but when I get a hit from my name it's reasonable to trace it backwards once in a while.
I discover things sometimes, people talking about me without linking to my website. Through a search that brought someone to my webring, today I found a blog which linked to the Mirror Project pic of my reflection inside a hard drive.
I really appreciate these whispers, just as much as full-page articles in foreign newspapers. It is always satisfying when someone responds, either verbally or symbolically, with "I like what you've done."
That last link to receipts1.jpg doesn't work for us hackermen; we don't have a Prohosting account, so I get a 404 error. As to the life of the virtual Derek; it is now a separate entity, and your paths will cross only occasionally. Hope you packed all the right things for him on his journey!

How strange...Apparently it only works if the referring page is the Receipt Site, and not an external webpage. If I *yawn* think of it tomorrow, I'll move it over. It's just the page from the Melbourne Herald Sun about the Receipt Site.

Hey, I searched you! I found the chess thing; are you still doing that? It looked like a great program.

Yup -- the first chess club meeting was a little over a week ago. This year's group is smaller than last year's, due to a bunch of 5th graders moving on to Junior High, but it's still a good posse of potential chessmasters.
